Assessment Overviews

Work Management Assessment:

  • The Work Management Assessment is a comprehensive analysis of the organization’s maintenance process and operating practices. It is designed for the industry in which it operates and the market place in which it competes.
  • Results of the assessment serve as an objective perspective of the overall health of the maintenance function and the benefit it provides to other elements in the enterprise; operations, supply chain, sales, distribution and engineering.
  • Tech Shelter Group professionals utilize an array of empirically based diagnostic tools and methods in assessing the operating norms and improvement opportunities of the organization that is under review.
  • Assessment results are presented as quantitatively as possible in order to establish a measureable baseline from which future operating improvements can easily and realistically be measured.
  • The assessment serves as a benchmarking tool to determine where the organization is positioned with respect to others in the same industry.
  • The assessment provides an appraisal of strengths and weaknesses as a service organization and identifies improvement opportunities that can be achieved in its mission.
  • Results are presented to leadership in terms of their strategic and tactical importance to the business.
  • Each element of the maintenance function is evaluated with respect to it’s alignment to the organization’s business plan.
  • Each opportunity for improvement uncovered in the assessment is presented in a Project Approach program document.  The document contains an overview and schedule of key events and deliverables required for each financial or operating improvement opportunity. A business review is also provided if further engagement of Tech Shelter Group personnel is contemplated by management.
