Employee Assessment Overview: “What we will do”

Assessment Tasks & Activities


  • Facilitate/review, with your leadership, the development of an Employee Growth & Learning Strategy aimed at short and long range training goals and objectives for each employee classification 
  • Facilitate Management Sponsorship with the organization to ensure success and sustainability 
  • Nominate an organizational Steering Team & develop a comprehensive Communication Plan outlining specific features and benefits of the Knowledge Assessment and Competency assurance process  
  • Steering team nomination and identification of organizational High Risk/Criticality (HR/C) job profiles
  • Review existing Tech Shelter Foundation Templates/Documents as they relate to each selected job profille 
  • Work with Steering Team on selection of appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SME) per job profile
  • Select and interview SMEs and define Key Criteria for knowledge and competency standards 
  • Identify and collect existing organization job descriptions and other related data relative to each HR/HC job classification selected by Steering team and SME consultations 
  • Create Source Knowledge Assessment documents for review and approval based upon:  Key Activities, OEM and Equipment requirements, Tools & Systems, Training and special criteria (Regulatory/Compliance) 
  • Assemble Employee Assessment Diagnostics per selected HR/C profile based upon existing Tech Shelter Group templates, created source documents, SME workshops & input 
  • Working with Human Resource management and department supervision, develop employee interview Schedules, logistics, presentations, wrap ups and results processing requirements and administrative support 
  • Deliver on site "one on  one" interviews with selected employees in each HR/C profile classification 
  • Identify Knowledge Gaps, Process Interview Results, establish interview data archives 
  • Align employee knowledge Gaps with recommended Training sources
  • Build Compendium of Training & Delivery sources per plant or field location 
  • Review individual assessment results with department supervision, Leadership, SME's
  • Work with HR to develop Personal Employee Training plans 
  • Support and facilitate the delivery of Employee Training
  • Support the validation of training effects through Competency Assurance process.
